Please note that this is a 1-year contract opportunity with the possibility of being hired permanently.
Responsibilities will include:
Able to read CAD drawings
Continually seek opportunities to improve services and reduce costs including freight
Follow-up with suppliers for order confirmation and delivery
Research/Source products
Issue Purchase orders and quotes
Reviewing and Understanding engineering drawings of various products
Liaise with various departments
Prepare and execute RFQs/RFPs
Source vendors, negotiate and finalize agreements
Liaise with cross functional teams such as suppliers, production and customer service to ensure goods are available to meet production requirements on time
Negotiate terms and delivery for lowest total cost
Qualifications:
Exceptional English communication and written skills
Math skills
SAP is an Asset
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong Computer Skills
Able to multitask
