Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced and organized Logistics Supervisor to oversee all shipping, receiving, and logistics operations within our facility. The successful candidate will supervise a team of logistics staff, ensure timely and compliant movement of materials and finished goods, and maintain efficiency across all domestic and international shipments.
This role requires solid knowledge of U.S. import/export practices, customs documentation, and FDA regulatory compliance for cross-border shipments.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving operations to ensure on-time, damage-free, and compliant deliveries.
  • Lead and train logistics and shipping personnel, providing guidance, scheduling, and performance feedback.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily logistics activities to support production and customer schedules.
  • Manage freight carriers, coordinate LTL, courier, and international shipments, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare and review customs paperwork, commercial invoices, FDA documentation, and certificates of origin for U.S. exports.
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and timely system updates.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records in Spire or other ERP/MRP systems.
  • Monitor and enforce FIFO and safety procedures across all logistics areas.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies, freight issues, and customs clearance delays.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce logistics costs and streamline operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and company quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of logistics, warehouse, or transportation experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Proven knowledge of cross-border U.S. shipmentscustoms proceduresFDA requirements, and DG product handling.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, supply chain, and freight management principles.
  • Proficiency with logistics and ERP software; Spire experience preferred.
  • Valid forklift license and strong working knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
