Senior Buyer - Amico Accessories

Job Description:

Position Overview:
The Buyer/ Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. This role will involve supplier quality management, contract negotiation, cost control and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet operational and strategic goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Mandarin is a definite asset.
  • Must have purchasing experience and be able to read manufacturing drawings.
  • Formal college or university education.
  • Demonstrated experience managing suppliers, performance and developing long-term relationships.
  • Experience in Metal fabrication, surface finishes, and custom manufacturing environment.
  • Highly organized, creative and self-motivated.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and execute RFQs/RFPs.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet quality, cost, and the delivery objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and Finance to align purchasing strategies with operational needs.
  • Negotiate contacts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform daily reviews of purchase requests and the inventory management system, ensuring purchase orders are issued in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, established purchasing processes, and quality management workflows.
  • Other duties as required.
