Electronics Technician

Role Summary

The Electronics Technician supports the design, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic circuits and assemblies. This role works closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable, functional, and well-documented electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and identify components on electronic schematics and PCB layouts
  • Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits at the board and component level
  • Perform functional testing, fault isolation, and root cause analysis
  • Use lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies
  • Build and test prototype circuits
  • Solder and rework SMD and through-hole components
  • Support engineering during development, validation, and failure investigations
  • Document test results, issues, and corrective actions
  • Communicate clearly with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams

Technical Skills & Qualifications (Required)

  • Ability to identify schematic components and circuit functions
  •  Ability to troubleshoot digital and analog electronics.
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments
  • Familiarity with SPI, I2C, and UART communication protocols
  • Basic understanding of ADC/DAC, op-amps, MOSFETs, and transistors
  • Experience soldering SMD and through-hole components
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Bonus / Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with microcontrollers such as PIC, STM32, or Arduino
  • Programming experience with MPLAB, STM32CubeIDE, or Arduino IDE
  • Basic understanding of EMC, grounding, or signal integrity

Education & Experience

Diploma or degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 2–5 years of hands-on electronics technician experience (flexible based on skill level).

Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000
