What You’ll Do
Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives in collaboration with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams
Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers based on capability, quality, cost competitiveness, and reliability
Lead supplier negotiations with confidence, consistently securing optimal pricing, terms, and long-term value
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while holding partners accountable to performance expectations
Assess supplier manufacturing capabilities, including equipment, processes, and technical expertise, to ensure alignment with requirements
Mitigate supply chain risks by developing alternate and diversified sourcing strategies
Manage sourcing projects end-to-end, driving progress across internal stakeholders through to successful completion
Analyze purchasing data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
Track, report, and present on cost-saving initiatives and sourcing performance on a regular basis
Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and internal processes
What You Bring
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or purchasing
Proven track record of strong negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently push back and secure best-in-class pricing and terms
Solid experience with global sourcing and supplier development
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier capability assessment
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, technical requirements, and market conditions
Experience managing sourcing initiatives from concept through execution
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an asset
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an asset
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
Multilingual capabilities are a strong asset
Nice to Have
Experience in manufacturing or medical equipment environments
Exposure to supplier diversification and risk mitigation strategies
Professional certifications such as SCMP or CPP
